VSLP SENTINEL● Checking server…How to Use VSLP SENTINEL — step-by-step operating guide
0. Sign In — Enter the access password (HR controlled). Use the HR-controlled access password. Change it under Masters & Settings → Security or the Clear Data (HR) tab.
1. Visitor Intimation — Host pre-registers an expected visitor (gender, mobile 10 digits, company & city/state separately, blood group, emergency contact, conveyance, accompanying visitors each with gender & blood, purpose, expected time). Submit creates a 6-digit Gate Pass ID; Save to System downloads a local copy.
2. Time Office (Walk-in) — For visitors who arrive without prior intimation. Time Office captures all the same details + photo manually and generates the pass immediately (auto checked-in).
3. Gate Check-In — Security selects an expected visitor, captures a clear photo on a plain background, and generates the 4"×6" Visitor Pass with QR. The pass can be Printed, Saved to System, or Sent to WhatsApp.
4. Gate Checkout — Host approval is mandatory first. Click Start Scanner and scan the pass QR (works offline), or enter the ID manually. Tick Carried-in material verified / returned and Visitor pass surrendered, then Complete Visit. For group passes, all accompanying visitors are marked checked-out together.
5. Records & Summary — Records now show accompanying visitor details. Filter by date/status, export CSV, and run Day / Week / Month reports.
6. Masters & Settings (HR) — Password, company/gate, overstay threshold, master lists, watchlist, backup/restore.
Hosting note: The hand-held QR scanner always works (it types into the selected box, even on plain HTTP). The on-screen camera (QR scanning and visitor photo) needs a secure context — open the app via https:// or on the server itself via localhost; browsers block the camera on plain HTTP across the network. To turn on HTTPS once, run ENABLE-HTTPS-CAMERA.ps1 on the server (included in this package). Shared live data across gates works on HTTP or HTTPS via the IIS backend.
